Nick Armington and Sari Armington,
a husband/wife team, guide Alchemedia Ltd.’s creative direction. A shared passion for filmmaking and storytelling led them to combine artistic and business forces in 1992.



Our company also represents two award-winning motion picture/ television directors, Bayley Silleck and Kevin Lombard. Their innovative works, on screens both large and small, have captivated audiences around the world.

Finally, Alchemedia Ltd. is pleased to offer the outstanding visual services of our Director of Photography, Rémo Pratini.



Nick Armington
Wizard-in-chief Nick Armington is a semi-certified shaman who produces and directs many of our film and media projects. Prior to establishing Alchemedia Ltd., he was the principal and owner of New York City based Meta FilmWorks, founded in 1987.

As Alchemedia Ltd.'s co-creative director, Nick assembles and leads teams of highly qualified collaborators in the fields of cinematography, art direction, post-production, computer animation, sound design, talent & casting, and musical composition. He is also a classically-trained composer and musician who has scored dozens of short films, and he brings an acute musical sensibility to the company's projects.


Sari Armington
Sari Armington, co-creative director and in-house Sorceress, also serves as Alchemedia Ltd.'s director of development. Experienced as a filmmaker, writer, researcher, editor and dancer, she leads the company's acquisition and development of literary & intellectual properties.

Sari began her career at Miramax Films in New York City, working first in publicity and later in script development. Subsequently, she was named Director of Development & Acquisitions for Vision Arts Video in San Francisco, where she was responsible for developing motion picture and home video projects.


Bayley Silleck
Bayley Silleck Renowned large-format filmmaker Bayley Silleck is widely regarded as one of the world's leading storytellers on giant screens. Over the past two decades, his work has been applauded by audiences numbering in the millions, and plays at leading museums, world's fairs and other large-screen venues.


Bayley has written and directed four major large-format films, including the Oscar® nominated 1996 IMAX film, "Cosmic Voyage;" ; the 1987 IMAX film "On The Wing;" the IMAX/OMNIMAX film "Energy! Energy!" for the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee; and the world's first 70mm 3-D ShowScan film, "Concerto For The Earth," which played at the 1992 World's Fair in Seville, Spain. Alchemedia principal Nick Armington collaborated closely with Bayley on both "Cosmic Voyage" and "Concerto."

As a documentary director, Bayley Silleck has profiled contemporary explorers and adventurers, including oceanographer Dr. Robert Ballard, inventor Paul McCready, and cinematographer Sven Nykvist. His television work has aired on the BBC, PBS, and the Discovery Channel.

Alchemedia Ltd. is proud to represent Bayley Silleck's distinct craftsmanship for commercial, industrial and documentary assignments.


Kevin Lombard Kevin Lombard
Director/cinematographer Kevin Lombard's keen eye for detail and fluid camera styles has made him a top choice of leading fashion designers, including Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria's Secret, Joseph Aboud, Borgese, and Ralph Lauren. His other corporate clients include IBM, Xerox, General Electric, Westvaco Corporation, Sony, Stern's, and Lohman's.

Nominated for six Emmy Awards, he won in 1997 for his work on the PBS children's series, "Reading Rainbow," and has also shot for PBS's "Puzzle Place" & "Backyard Safari," CTW's "Sesame Street," and dozens of broadcast documentaries.

Kevin Lombard has worked with Alchemedia Ltd.'s principals for many years, and we are pleased to represent him for commercial and industrial projects.


Rémo Pratini
Rémo Pratini Rémo Pratini, Director of Photography, received his formal training at The Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. The son of two fine art painters, Rémo brings to his work a unique blend of aesthetics and imaging technology in a "modern renaissance" approach to cinematography.


A San Francisco native, Rémo owned and operated a commercial film production studio in New York City for five years. With 28 years of experience in the film industry, his background encompasses a wide-range of breakthrough motion picture projects.

Rémo Pratini has filmed numerous award-winning national and international commercial spots, in addition to motion picture feature films, documentaries, music videos and unique timelapse sequences. His client list includes Bloomingdales, Canon, Heublien, Honda Motor Company, Levi Strauss, Maidenform, Olympus, Revlon, Robert Half International, Sony, Sun Microsystems, Thoratec Laboratories, and Tiffany & Co.

Rémo first collaborated with Alchemedia Ltd. when he shot the broadcast documentary film, "The Plunge: Time Laps Through History" in 1998. Since then, he has contributed his oustanding eye and cinematography skills to many of our productions, and we are proud to be affiliated with him.
